Wasser & Russ, LLP sponsors READ’s Outdoor Family Movie Night

The Foundation for Roslyn’s Educational Advancement and Development (READ) is a pending non-profit 501(c)(3) organization formed by a group of dedicated parents to enrich the educational experience of the students in the Roslyn School District.

Founded in 2011, READ was created in response to the growing financial gap between what the Roslyn Public Schools require, and what is funded by tax dollars and government subsidy.

READ will raise money through fundraising efforts and events and will distribute those funds as grants for the Roslyn schools for various educational and capital projects.

READ is governed by an independent Board of Directors selected from the Roslyn community that will work closely with the Roslyn Board of Education and administration to ensure that capital is allocated to programs and initiatives that are important to our students’ school experience.

READ’s mission is to fill the growing budget or financial gap between what the Roslyn Public Schools currently require and what is funded by tax dollars and government subsidy. Through private sector fundraising, the goal is to distribute these funds as grants to Roslyn Public Schools.
