Adam H. Russ is an AV Rated litigator. He leads the firm’s litigation practice. Over the past fifteen years, Mr. Russ has litigated and arbitrated matters for firm clients throughout the United States.
Mr. Russ represents clients in a wide range of state and federal suits, arbitrations and mediations involving insurance runoff and agency disputes, art title disputes, complex contract and commercial claims, business torts, declaratory actions, bad faith and insurance coverage claims, real-estate disputes, wrongful termination and employment matters, and estate litigation.
Mr. Russ has prosecuted and defended actions for clients in a variety of industries, including insurance, art dealers/auctions, title insurance, electronics, technology, manufacturing, banking, health care, real estate, construction and sanitation.
He has litigated all manners of cases from class actions and multi-jurisdictional complex commercial cases to simple collection matters. In addition, Mr. Russ provides clients with pre-litigation advice and strategic planning, conducts and supervises all aspects of litigation including pre-litigation investigations, discovery, alternative dispute resolution, motion practice, trials, and settlement negotiations. Recently, Mr. Russ obtained a $5.2 million judgment at trial in favor of his client, an insurance company, in a case involving fraudulent business practices.
Mr. Russ also performs a broad range of legal activities in areas complementary to his litigation practice, such as commercial and business transactions, including corporate formation, acquisition and governance, purchases and sales of assets, insurance agency and claims administration agreements, leasing and the purchase and sale of real estate, and estate administration and probate.
Mr. Russ graduated from the University of Illinois (Champaign/Urbana) with a B.A. in 1992 and from DePaul University College of Law with a Juris Doctor in 1995.
